About
Hackley Lake Keepers is a student-led environmental organization dedicated to protecting the Tarrytown Lakes Parkland, a 72-acre natural area with two central lakes and a network of heavily used trails. Founded in response to growing concerns about litter and invasive plant species, the group works hands-on to address the environmental challenges impacting the lakes. By organizing seasonal cleanups, removing trash, and combating invasive species that threaten native ecosystems, Hackley Lake Keepers plays an active role in preserving the health and accessibility of this important community space.

Mission
Our mission is to give back to the Tarrytown community by partnering with the Tarrytown Environmental Advisory Council to monitor and protect the ecosystem surrounding the Tarrytown Lakes Parkland. Through collaboration, stewardship, and direct action, we are committed to keeping the lakes, waterways, and trails clean while supporting the long-term restoration of native plant life and environmental sustainability.
Vision
Our vision is a clean, healthy, and thriving Tarrytown Lakes Parkland where native ecosystems are restored, community members are engaged, and future generations are empowered to protect their local environment.
